Carrie has been a professional event coordinator since 2008, when she began hosting large, bi-annual wedding shows in Louisville. Her passion for organizing events led her to create other events, such as the Louisville Kids Fair, which hosted nearly 15,000 people annually at the Kentucky Expo Center, and other large niche trade shows in other cities. In 2018, Carrie, and two business partners, opened a beautiful event venue in Louisville where she had the opportunity to work individually with wedding couples and execute over 100 weddings and receptions.
The hard effects of the COVID-19 virus redirected Carrie’s career, and she happily accepted her current position as the Catering and Events Director at Woodhaven Country Club in May of 2021. At Woodhaven, Carrie continues her passion for executing events and working one-on-one with clients. “I just LOVE meeting new people and working with them to help make their visions come to life. It’s such a joyous, satisfying feeling to take the stress away from the client and allow them to enjoy the process. It truly makes me happy and is why I love what I do for a living!”.
Shelby Fogarty has been a team player at Woodhaven since May 2021 and has been working as a Catering and Events Specialist and Venue Coordinator since October 2022. Shelby graduated from Bellarmine University in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance. With a passion for the arts and performance, her artistic eye and bubbly personality have helped her with wedding decor, finding live musicians for ceremonies, and developing meaningful, personal relationships with each client. Whether Shelby is performing Classical Art Songs and Opera or putting together a wedding, she focuses on giving back to others and spreading joy.
“I make sure to give 110% to everyone I meet, whether it is our first time meeting for a tour or the day of your event! We hope to take all stress off our clients so they can relax and enjoy time with their loved ones during such a momentous occasion!”
